Dielines that have already been folded shut.
Type the internal size and pick a board. BoxCad draws the flat blank, folds it in 3D, and checks that no board passes through board and that the closed box is the size it promised. Then you download it.

Why the 3D view is the point
Most generators draw a picture
They lay out rectangles that look like a box. Whether the flaps actually clear each other when you fold them is left to you, and you find out after the die is cut.
This one folds it
Every panel carries a hinge axis and a target angle, and the fold tree rotates them for real. Board cannot pass through board, so any overlap means the flat pattern is dimensionally wrong.
And measures the result
A flap folded the wrong way collides with nothing, so collision alone would miss it. The assembled envelope is measured against the size you asked for. Both run over every style, board and production mode.
Box types
24 presets across 6 categories, from six generators.
Mailer box
FEFCO 0427The e-commerce standard. Rolled side walls, ear lock, no glue.
Mailer with slot lock
FEFCO 0427Tabs through slots in the front wall. Closes tighter, a little more knife work.
Flat mailer
FEFCO 0427Low and wide, for clothing, prints and books.
Mailer without dust flaps
FEFCO 0427Less board and a narrower blank; the side wall becomes double instead of triple.
Mailer for tape
FEFCO 0427Plain flap without a lock, closed with tape or a sticker.
Regular slotted box
FEFCO 0201The classic carton. Major flaps meet in the middle.
What you get
Thickness is modelled, not guessed
Panels sit on their mid-plane and fold about the crease, so a board of caliper t straddles its plane by t/2. Every compensation follows from that one assumption instead of from a rule of thumb.
No line is ever machined twice
Overlapping tool paths are resolved by rank, so you never get a doubled crease that folds badly or a knife running the same path twice.
Router and laser are first class
Switch to router mode and reverse creases become perforations, so the sheet never has to be flipped and re-registered halfway through a job.
Try it with your own dimensions
